What are Covalent-Metal Organic Frameworks (C-MOFs)?
about 2 months ago by Tylor
Covalent-metal–organic frameworks (C-MOFs) are a new kind of organic frameworks materials, synthesized using metal clusters of MOFs as secondary building units (SBUs) combined with dynamic covalent ligands in COFs. The concept of C-MOFs was proposed very recently by Yaghi's group. C-MOFs combine the advantages of both MOFs and COFs, with good stability and the presence of metal active sites. In addition, they possess the adjustable and predictable periodic porous structure. Surprisingly, they also have some features that are not present in either MOFs or COFs. From the current perspective, impressive performances make the materials have great application potential.
